This mesmerizing photo was taken for Glenn's Assignment and shows a rough, cobblestone wall with a window through which a lone man may be seen. The cobblestones' monotone hues give off a feeling of grim reality, while the unexpected apparition of the human form creates a startling contrast. The way the many shades of gray are expertly stitched together in this picture is what I find most arresting; it gives off an air of cryptic serenity. A truly magnificent piece of art.

The vibrant image of Jakarta's bustling cityscape was taken for a story-telling assignment and is amazing. The area was bathed in a warm glow created by the beautiful orange sky and fluffy cloud formations. The apartment building's striking colors, which also include splashes of green and yellow, give the composition a feeling of vigor and life. The tennis court, however, gives the image an exciting new perspective and gives the cityscape a sense of movement. A truly captivating work of art, this photograph exquisitely captures the essence of Jakarta.
